Short version: we collect very little, we don't sell anything, and we don't track you around the internet. Here are the details.
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide:
That's the complete list. We don't collect anything else. No behavioral data, no device fingerprinting, no tracking pixels.
The contact form is handled by FormSubmit.co, a third-party form submission service. When you hit send, your data passes through their servers and is delivered to shane@traveltamers.com. Their service is subject to FormSubmit.co's privacy policy.
Once we receive your message, we use it to respond to your inquiry and, if you're interested in booking, to connect you with Travel Tamers for trip planning. Your information stays in our email. It doesn't go into a marketing database or CRM pipeline.
This site does not set any cookies. We don't use cookie banners because we don't have cookies to consent to.
However, this site loads resources from third-party CDNs — specifically GSAP (animation library via jsDelivr) and Google Fonts. These services may set their own cookies or collect usage data according to their own privacy policies. We don't control that, but we want you to know about it.
There is no analytics tracking currently installed on this site. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heat maps. We don't know how many people visit, what pages they read, or how long they stay. Honestly, it's kind of refreshing.
We don't sell your data to third parties. Ever. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
If you ask us to help plan a trip, we'll share relevant details with Travel Tamers (our booking service, also run by Shane) and the applicable travel suppliers. That's the whole point of contacting us. But we won't share your information with anyone you haven't asked us to work with.
Our private Facebook group operates entirely on Facebook's platform. Any data you share there — your profile, your posts, your interactions — is governed by Facebook's Privacy Policy, not ours.
We moderate the group, but we don't export member data, scrape profiles, or use group activity for marketing purposes.
Want us to delete your data? Email shane@traveltamers.com and ask. We'll remove any contact form submissions and correspondence we have from you. Since we don't maintain a database of user information, this is straightforward — we delete the emails and you're done.
We'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
If you're located in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and the right to object to or restrict its processing.
Given that we collect minimal data and don't maintain user accounts or databases, most of these rights are straightforward to exercise. Contact us at shane@traveltamers.com and we'll handle your request.
Our lawful basis for processing contact form data is legitimate interest (you contacted us and expect a reply) and, where applicable, your explicit consent.
This site isn't directed at anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, let us know and we'll delete it.
If we change this privacy policy, we'll update the date at the bottom of this page. If we ever start collecting more data than what's described here — which would require a good reason — we'll make it clear.
