Refined Vacations is an informational website operated by Shane Anthony through Travel Tamers, powered by Nexion Travel Group. We publish editorial content about eco-adventure travel: partner reviews, destination guides, gear recommendations, and community resources.
This site is not a booking engine. You can't buy anything here. If you want to book a trip, we'll connect you with Travel Tamers, where an actual human handles your reservation through Nexion's supplier network. All bookings are subject to Travel Tamers' terms and the applicable supplier's terms and conditions.
The contact form on this site is processed by FormSubmit.co, a third-party form handling service. When you submit the form, your information is delivered to shane@traveltamers.com. We use it to respond to your inquiry. That's it.
By submitting the form, you're giving us permission to contact you about the thing you asked about. We won't add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or do anything else with it. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
The gear page features products we've field-tested and believe are worth your money. There are no affiliate links on this site. None. We don't earn a commission if you click through and buy something. The recommendations are editorial — our honest opinions based on real-world use.
Product specifications, pricing, and availability may change. We do our best to keep things current, but check with the manufacturer before making a purchase.
We maintain a private Facebook group for discussion among travelers. User-generated content posted in that group — reviews, opinions, photos, trip reports — belongs to the people who posted it and doesn't represent the views of Refined Vacations or Travel Tamers.
We moderate the group to keep it useful and free of spam, but we're not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of content posted by members. The group operates on Facebook's platform and is subject to Facebook's Terms of Service.

This site is built using Fibonacci sequence constraints — every color value, spacing unit, and layout ratio derives from the golden ratio and its related mathematics. This is an intentional creative and artistic choice that we happen to think produces better design.
If something looks slightly different from what you're used to on other websites, that's by design. It's not a bug. It's math.
